Built in collaboration with less experienced woodworkers eager to tackle a difficult project, this table represents one component of a larger group effort to embrace the social and educational benefits of making. Our student organization, Building Community, invites students to participate in building projects, field trips, and workshops that each champion a sense of craft and community. Robust and versatile, this piece acts as our community dinner table, exhibition display surface, and on-site workbench. The entire project is made of salvaged barn lumber.
